The world of cloth nappies is immense - I had no idea until I embarked on my search for nappies in the lead up to the birth of my little one. It was a totally overwhelming process trying to decipher the language of cloth nappies (AIO, AIO2, pop-ins, pockets, boosters, soakers, snappies...), understanding the variety of materials available and how they work in nappies for absorption etc (cotton, bamboo, hemp, plush...), and then trying to sort out what system might work for me. Thankfully, I stumbled across Booloobabe, who not only answered my MANY questions so thoroughly, but offered me some very sound advice. The Booloobabe ladies are a wealth of information! Their recommendations are also very real as they try and test all of their products on their own little ones. And I'm terribly thankful that shipping interstate was not a problem. You don't come across the personalised service that Booloobabe offer too often. I wouldn't hesitate to use their service again.

I first came across Booloo Babe when I was very pregnant with my daughter. Sam and Arki came to my friend’s house and showed us lots of MCNs, I’d heard of MCNs before but was feeling a bit lost as to where to start, Sam gave us some great recommendations, without being pushy or trying to oversell any of the products, she advised us to start off small and build up from there. My daughter is now 4 months old and exclusively in MCNs, I’ve met up with Sam countless times since then and have purchased all of our nappies through her. Sam is not only my ‘nappy broker’, but has also become my friend, a fellow Mum who is passionate about what she does – being a wonderful Mum and selling cloth nappies. Booloo Babe is a professional and personal service that I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to use MCNs who doesn’t know where to start or who is a seasoned cloth user.

I knew I wanted to use modern cloth nappies (I’m hopeless with the traditional kind) with my first child but unfortunately none of my friends used them so there was no-one to ask for advice. I was overwhelmed with the choices available online so I bought three from a local baby shop (which only stocked one brand) and they were an absolute disaster so I was very discouraged. Finally when my daughter was about 7 months old, I found Booloobabe and they were brilliant. Linda was really informative and the best thing was that they had several different brands to try out on my daughter who is fairly petite and lean. We found three brands that fit her, much less frustrating and expensive than if I’d bought trial packs online. Since then the follow-up service has been excellent, Linda is very responsive and prompt whenever I get in touch with her. One of the nappies failed within a few weeks and was replaced straight away no fuss, that brand has been fine ever since. I’m really delighted that I kept trying. It’s a year later, I use cloth 90% of the time, it’s easy for me and my daughter’s skin is much happier in cloth than disposables.

When I was pregnant I knew I wanted to give cloth nappies a go, so gave Sam a call. She came round and gave me some great (1st hand!) advice about choices of nappies and what is available. With her info I chose a couple of nappies to try and once my babe was born and we were using the cloth nappies I made my choice....Sam’s suggestion was the winner! She also gave me heaps of advice when using cloth nappies (how to wash them, how to remove stains, liners...the list goes on). Now we use them all the time and we love our cloth nappies. THANKS!

I was lucky to have a big group of friends already using MCNs before I had my first baby and I knew that was what I wanted to use. We organised a nappy natter (afternoon tea and a chat about the pros and cons of different brands of MCNs) so I could decide which brands to invest in. Everyone brought along their own nappies and then I asked...where do you buy the nappies from? The answer "Our nappy 'dealer' - Sam at Booloo Babe".
I was given some MCNs at my baby shower (all purchased from Booloo Babe) and then purchased more myself from Sam to have enough to use full time. When my baby was born he was so big, he fitted all the brands I had bought from 1 week old!
I have had many issues with the nappies along the way that I have spoken to Sam about - fit, nappy rash, leaks, smelly nappies...and every time Sam has had many many ideas to try. I have worked through all the issues and I am happier than ever with my MCNs and the service I get from Sam. She is currently helping me find a night nappy solution, offering a choice of several brands to try before I make an investment. And I have just bought a swim nappy...Sam came armed with 2 sizes to make sure the nappy would fit my baby (he has chubba chubba thighs).
I am so happy with my MCNs I use them full time, including outings and short trips away.
My baby is now 7 months old and I can't say enough positive things about the speedy service and response I get from Sam and the level of personalisation to make sure I am happy with everything I have bought - both before and after purchase.

With all the hassles I had trying to source my nappies, Sam's service couldn't have been better. 'Thankyou Sam for all your help in finding me a full quota of Bumgenius nappies when they were in such short supply. I was finally able to RIP my disposables when my little man was 8 weeks old. The first cloth nappies that I used were ones a friend had given me. They were beautiful and I fell in love with cloth nappies instantly. However as my daughter grew, I was having problems with the fit and would have leakages every day. I contacted the cloth nappy manufacturer and I went through all the suggestions they had to offer, with no positive result. I was feeling very discouraged, I wanted to continue to use cloth, not only because they looked fabulous, but for all the environmental reasons and the fact that I did not want disposable nappies on my daughter 24 hours a day. So I decided to search the internet to see what I could find - and I found Sam and Booloo Babe.
Sam was reassuring from the very beginning and gave me hope that we would find a cloth nappy to suit my daughter's individual needs. So we made an appointment and Sam came to my home and looked at the nappy that I was using
and checked that I was doing everything correctly. From there I began the fun process of trying a range of different cloth nappies, to see which ones were going to suit. I was a little sceptical as I had already invested a lot of money in the first brand of nappies and I didn't want to make the same mistake with another brand. However with Sam's expert guidance, we worked our way through many brands until we got the one that is perfect.
My daughter is now 22 months old and I love seeing her running around in beautiful cloth nappies, with amazing prints and designs. When Sam came to my house it was like having a catch up with a friend. I'm very satisfied with the cloth nappies and other accessories as well as the Booloo babe services. I was struggling to find out which cloth nappy would suit to my baby. Sam gave me the opportunity to try on my baby a variety of cloth nappies before purchasing. Sam has lots of knowledge and experience of the products and her coments are helpful. We had a beautiful hand-made reuseable pull-up nappy made for our toddler.
It fitted her perfectly and was in use for over a year. It's now in storage for our newest little girl.
The nappy has lasted really well with no fading, ripping, staining or perished elastic.
It was rotated about twice a week - so our $50 nappy has saved us the cost of more than 110 disposable pull-ups - which are normally about $1 each.
We've also ordered Bioliners through Booloo Babe and an entire roll lasted about 10 months. You can wash and reuse the wet ones, while flushing away the pooey ones.

May I just say, please, how absolutely impressed I am with your timeliness in posting out my order! I ordered a Catbird Baby Pikkolo carrier and belt on Tuesday evening, and here we are, Thursday afternoon, and it has arrived!
I had to take my old Pikkolo carrier to the post office today to return it to a different company for a refund as it was faulty. That company is currently out of stock, and I despaired of replacing my carrier quickly. I was very nervous about being without my carrier and so I was over the moon to discover my new one had arrived today!

I came across the Booloo babe website quite by accident, but as soon as I found it I had to know more about the world of cloth nappies and find a system that would work best for me and my impending arrival. Linda was immediately friendly and most helpful and suggested it would be best if I saw a selection of the different brands and styles of nappy before making a decision. This turned out to be excellent advice, because the nappies I initially had in mind weren't what I expected and Linda was able to guide me in making a choice that has worked wonderfully well. There was no hard sell, because there was no need - Linda was a font of 'babes in cloth' information and was able to answer all of my questions and address my concerns (including calming me down after I made a frantic phone call convinced I had ruined my nappies before I had even started!). My beautiful daughter has been in cloth since birth, and nearly four months on I could not be happier with my choice, and cannot thank Linda enough for her advice and ongoing support.
